It's official, hot-to-trot showgirls "The Pussycat Dolls" have been confirmed as the opening act on Britney Spears' "Circus" tour, which will set off from New Orleans next March.
Nicole Scherzinger and her co-stars heard the good news in October, but kept schtum until the official announcement by Britney on her website.
Fellow doll Melody Thornton describes Brit as the queen of pop, on equal footing with Madonna, and is delighted that her own group is to accompany the international star.
Meanwhile, Jessica Sutta recalls her regret that the last Dolls/Spears collaboration fell apart: "Actually she made a cameo in our video, 'When I Grow Up,' but it was cut, unfortunately". Let's hope that Britney doesn't do the same to the Dolls with her show...
